Some parents had complained to the education department that a teacher at Mount Carmel High School cut off the rakhis tied on the wrists of students of Class 5 a day after Raksha Bandhan festival.Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama on August 29 said that a notice has been issued to the school. TheGujarat government has sought an explanation from a school in Gandhinagar following allegations that one of its teachers forcibly removed rakhis tied on the wrists of students.
