Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Statue of Unity, the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat on October 31. Talking to Asha Workers and Anganwadi workers through Narendra Modi app and video link, PM Modi himself informed about this matter. While mentioning Sardar Patel's 'Iron Man', PM told the children to become strong like them. When Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat, he announced in 2013 that Sardar Patel's biggest statue in the world will be set up in the state.
The statue of this statue was laid on October 31, 2013 on the occasion of Patel's 138th anniversary. In order to build this statue, the BJP has also launched a campaign to collect iron in the entire country. This statue is being described as the world's tallest statue. This giant statue is being constructed on Sadhu Island, this place is 3.32 km from Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada river in Kewaria.
